Bunnies in the Forest

Translucent watercolour glazes and luminous colours were combined with copper ink to create a playful and fanciful illustration suitable for children.

I’m not sure where the inspiration for this quirky and whimsical picture came from, although I remember enjoying adding the fine lines in blue ink to finish the image lending the feel of stained glass.

Looking back I can see how my illustrations demonstrate a fondness for the formal qualities of the materials whether in the form of pooling glazes, fine detailing or blending colours.
